REGISTERING
FOR ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT ARRANGEMENTS
FOR
THE RICA VIDEO PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT |
|

|
Alternative assessment arrangements may be provided or
allowed for candidates who would not be able to complete
the RICA Video Performance Assessment under standard conditions
due to physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities.
Candidates requesting alternative assessment arrangements
must submit (a) a completed registration form
with correct payment, (b) a completed Alternative Testing/Assessment
Arrangements Request Form, and (c) any required documentation.
The Alternative Testing/Assessment Arrangements Request
Form is available to download as a PDF document by
selecting “
Print Bulletin
and Forms (PDF)” on the RICA Web site. A description
of the required documentation is provided in “
Registering
for Alternative Testing Arrangements for the RICA Written
Examination.” Write your name and telephone number on each piece of correspondence you provide. The
Alternative Testing/Assessment Arrangements Request Form and any required documentation
may be sent to Evaluation Systems by fax at the number printed on the form.
You are strongly encouraged to submit your registration
materials and request as early as possible. The options
for alternative assessment arrangements are enhanced when
more time is available to plan and prepare for them. Due
to the time and logistics involved in providing certain
types of alternative assessment arrangements, your registration
may need to be applied to a future submission deadline.
Because of the nature of the RICA Video Performance Assessment,
alternative testing arrangements that would be appropriate
for the RICA Written Examination (e.g., extra testing
time) may not be applicable for the Video Performance
Assessment. Upon receipt of your request, Evaluation Systems will contact
you to discuss your request.
All timely and complete alternative assessment arrangements requests and accompanying documentation
are reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon receipt. In some cases, the documentation
submitted may not be sufficient to make a determination with regard to the requested
accommodation(s) or may not support the requested accommodation(s). Additional information or
test results may be needed.
