Obtaining Your Test Results

RELEASE OF YOUR TEST SCORES

Your test scores will be reported to you, the CTC, and the institution that you indicated when you registered. Your score report will be mailed on the score report date published in “Test Dates.”

Your scores are reported directly to the CTC and are automatically added to your certification application file. Your score report is for your records only; do not submit it with your application for certification.

Your scores may be delayed due to problems with registration or other matters. In addition, your scores will be permanently voided if your account is not paid in full and cleared by 13 calendar days after the test date. See “Test Fees and Payment Policies” for more information.

Internet Posting of Unofficial Scores

Unofficial scores will be available on the Internet at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on the score report dates listed in “Test Dates.” For each test date, unofficial scores will be available on the Internet for approximately two weeks. For security reasons, unofficial scores may be viewed only once on the Internet during the posting period.

Unofficial scores are available to you on the Internet regardless of your registration method. However, you must provide your date of birth when you register in order to be able to retrieve your unofficial scores. If you register on the Internet, you may also request that your unofficial scores be sent to you by e-mail.

To access your unofficial scores on the Internet, select “Score Reporting” on the RICA Web site and follow the instructions provided. You will be required to provide your RICA identification number, which is found on your admission ticket and/or e-mail registration confirmation, and your date of birth.

Scores are available on the Internet and by e-mail solely to provide you with preliminary, unofficial notification of your passing status as quickly as possible. Unofficial scores sent by e-mail or posted on the Internet are not acceptable substitutes for an official score report.

Official Examinee Score Reports
Your official score report will be sent to you by U.S. mail on the score report date published in “Test Dates.” Your score report will be sent to the address that you provided during the registration process.

If you wish to have your RICA Written Examination score report sent to a different address, you may complete a Registration Information Correction Form available at the test site on the day of the test.

If you wish to have your RICA Video Performance Assessment results sent to a different address, you must notify Evaluation Systems of your address change in writing on or before the submission deadline that corresponds to the receipt of your Video Packets. Include your full name, social security number, and change of address in your request.

Your score report provides information about your passing status and other performance information. See “RICA Passing Requirements” for detailed information on the passing requirements for the RICA.

Your score report is accompanied by an explanation of how to read your score report. A score report explanation is also available by selecting “Score Reporting” on the RICA Web site.

If you have not received your score report two weeks after the score report date, call (888) 793-7999 or (916) 928-4004. Under no circumstances will your official score report information be released in person or by telephone, fax, or e-mail.

File Correction

If, after receiving your initial score report, you would like to make a correction to the spelling of your name, your social security number, or other information, you may use the additional test results service. Along with a completed Test Results Request Form, enclose a signed written request describing the correction you would like made. If you need to correct your name because it has legally changed, you must submit a photocopy of official verification of the name change (e.g., marriage certificate, court order). Following the file correction, a corrected score report will be sent to you and notification of the correction will be forwarded to the CTC.
