REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

Use this checklist to help gather the information that you need to register for the RICA Written Examination. For information about registering for the RICA Video Performance Assessment, refer to "Test Dates."

1. Review the list of institutions.
Refer to "Institution Codes" to select a California educational institution to receive your test results (optional).
2. Prepare your payment.
Payment must be made by credit, debit, or check card (VISA or MasterCard only) as described in "Test Fees and Payment Policies."
3. Gather the personal information you need to register.
When you register for the RICA Written Examination, you will be asked to provide the following information:
  • Name (use your legal name that appears on your government-issued identification)
  • Address
  • Daytime telephone number (required)
  • U.S. Social Security number (required for registration and to access your test results online)
  • Date of birth (required to access your test results online)
  • Email address (required)
  • Ethnicity (optional)
  • Gender (optional)
Your test results will be provided to the CTC according to your Social Security number and date of birth. Failure to provide this information correctly during registration may delay or jeopardize the issuance of a credential to you.
4. Review the background questions.
When you register for the RICA Written Examination, you will be asked to answer some background questions. Refer to "Background Questions" to prepare answers to the questions you will be asked during registration.
5. Review the Rules of Test Participation.
Before you register, you must read and agree to abide by the policies stated in "Compliance with Testing Rules," including the Rules of Participation in the RICA Written Examination, and all procedures and policies contained in the 2012–2013 RICA Registration Bulletin.
